Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE) is a linear, high density polymer which, due to its extremely high molecular weight exhibits unique abrasion resistance, impact strength, corrosion resistance and self-lubrication characteristics. ARPLEX® is used in a wide variety of industries with applications ranging from chute liners to wear strips. Products manufactured from ARPLEX® help to reduce maintenance expenses, part replacement costs and downtime because of its long wear-life. ARPLEX® products also help to protect the integrity of original equipment, extending equipment wear-life as well.

* Industry standard testing method using slurry of 60% aluminum oxide and 40% water at a rotation speed of 1750 rpm for 2 hours. Results indicate the ability of each material, in relation to Natural (=100), to resist abrasion under typical UHMW-PE applications. A lower number indicates better abrasion resistance
Available Grades
ARPLEX®-V
(White) is our most popular grade of polyethylene. Produced from pure,
100% virgin UHMW-PE resin, ARPLEX®-V is accepted by the USDA and FDA for
use in food and pharmaceutical processing equipment. With an average
molecular weight of 4 million ARPLEX®-V performs well in wear
applications at temperatures up to 120ºF.
ARPLEX®-R (Green) is produced
from recycled UHMWPE mixed with a green pigment. ARPLEX®-R is an
inexpensive general purpose grade with an average molecular weight of 4
million. It is ideal for many wear applications in material handling
systems and storage containers.
ARPLEX® VX-AR (Grey) is a cross-linked,
UV Stabilized,Self-Lubricating, special purpose UHMW-PE grade. This
chemically improved material has a molecular weight of 6million and
exhibits wear resistant qualities SUPERIOR to conventional UHMW grades.
